I love this series! I love anything Mercedes Lackey throws at us! The main reason I am writing this review with 3 stars is because the editing of the ebook is absolutely horrendous. I know the old print of her books could be smudgy, and the letters could blend together, and it shows in the ebook. Words like "merc" show up as "mere," names aren't spelled correctly, and some words don't even make sense and are unintelligible. While I love this trilogy, I find it blasphemous the ebooks are riddled with so many errors and makes it hard to read at times!!

The final volume of the Mage Winds trilogy is more epic and hard to put down than the previous two. It reference quite often the Mage Wars trilogy, that I recommend to read beforehand.
In this book Elspeth, Darkwind, and Firesong are back to a Valdemar that has lost its magic shield protection and it is being attacked by Ancar of Hardon and Falconsbane. The only hope Valdemar survival is a stealth attack to the heart of the enemy kingdom.

I've read this entire series again and again. And again. Still can't help falling more and more in love with the world Mercedes Lackey has built every time I pick any one of them up. Whether it be Valdemar, The Elementals, Elves, or any other storyscape she comes up with. Love her mind! And Larry Dixons art is just delightful to me, fanciful, yet real at the same time. Love them!
