Beautifully captures the period. You must be willing to slow down and drink it in. This book has a good plot, but it also has ambience.

This is a great read. I love this era of time and this was very hard to put down. If you like history and spy stuff LOL and the sea this is a great book for you!

good read..some found it boring..not so here..coffee, pipe and a rainy day combine with this book to make an enjoyable day..
