A distanza di quasi quaranta anni dalla sua morte e dopo migliaia di testi scritti pubblicati su di lui, oggi non ci si può certamente esimere dal guardare a don Milani come ad un grande educatore che ha avuto una forte influenza sullo sviluppo della scuola e che occupa certamente nella storia della cultura italiana un posto importante che gli va riconosciuto anche a livello scolastico.
