So this can be read as a stand alone novella but honestly I don't know why you wouldn't want to read all the other books leading up to this series. I must say I didn't realize how much I missed Simon and Kara until I starting reading this. I always enjoyed this couple (along with every other one in the series) but it wasn't till I got about half way through the first chapter that I realized I was extremely grateful that she decided to write a novella about them. Of course, I would have loved more but I thought it was great. Once again J.S. Scott nailed this one out of the ball park.

Another fantastic read from one of my favourite authors, love this series, eagerly awaiting every new release....if there's one thing I recommend, its reading this series :)

Only giving it five stars because i like simon and kara. Wish the book was longer. I bought it too n I'm disappointed it was so short!!!!
