I liked this book a lot and thought it got this series off to an intriguing start. I found myself engaged in the story quickly and by the end I was firmly invested in the outcome. The story offers a fresh new twist that was very welcome and enjoyable. The world building was very well done and features highly detailed descriptions that make it very easy to picture this strange new world. Luna and Noxx are a balanced blend of complexity and likability that I felt made them easy to connect with and root for. A combination of emotion, drama, romance, adventure, heart, danger and steamy desire make for a fun book to settle in and relax with. This is my independent, impartial review.

Luna, Noxx & Sol She had no family, no means of getting ahead. When the offer to become the adopted mother to an alien baby came she took it immediately. He was sweet, blue but sweet. He seemed to like his protector better than Luna but that would change when it was just the two of them. Only it wasn't gonna be that way. The hunky guard was a permanent fixture. Noxx had lots to teach the woman who didn't set a good impression, to begin with. Would things change, especially when he learned immediately from his inner dragon something surprising about her? The story, as always with Ms. Black, is unique with a strong woman and strong but feeling male. Both of them have surprises come that are fun reveals to the reader. Add steam and other interesting characters plus a bit of a preview into what is coming up for one of her sister adoptee mothers and you know you'll love it.

Exciting and adventurous ride through a new world with a hot dragon and his mate. His duty collides with her dreams and the sparks are flying. He's a warrior but she's relevant and I love how they compliment one another and the uniqueness of their story. Very descriptive sci-fi & paranormal elements with sweet romantic interest added in makes this well paced, informative and a very fascinating alien romance. Gearing up for another opportunity to learn more about the other couples and this alien planet. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
