About the author

Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, better known as Mary Shelley, was born in London, England. She was a British narrator, playwright, essayist, philosopher and biographer, best known as the author of gothic novel Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus, considered the world’s first science fiction novel.
