“The best of the fairy tale world. Readers will fall head over heels for both the quirky town and the achingly sweet second-chance romance.”
—Publishers Weekly STARRED REVIEW

First in a magical new series full of edgy and hilarious antics, this is the read you need to finally give your year the fairy-tale ending it deserves! An enchanting story of love, dreams, and second chances—a delightful read for cold winter nights that fans of Christina Lauren, Tessa Bailey, and Kerry Winfrey can’t miss…

If love is the source of all the magic in the universe, and the town of Ever After, Missouri, is the epicenter of enchantment, then the locals are in dire need of a reboot. At least according to resident fairy godmothers Petunia, Jonquil, and Bluebonnet. Their solution? Blow a bit of fairy dust in the direction of those in need of romance. . . . What could possibly go wrong?

SOME KIND OF AWFUL . . .

Lucky Fujiki’s first name is a cosmic joke. Her luck is so bad, even the number seven steers clear of her. But when her adorable godmothers ask for a favor, Lucky can’t say no. After all, it’s just a little one—to save the world’s magic. Lucky can already feel the bad juju waiting to strike. And her mission is even worse than she imagined: to promote Ever After as a wedding destination by faking a marriage to her first love and long-time ex, Ransom Payne—he of the Embarrassing Incident that neither of them will ever live down . . .

OR ALL KINDS OF WONDERFUL?

Ransom Payne has spent years building an impressive new reputation for himself, and now his godmothers want him to pretend to wed the one girl he’d like most to forget? Sure, weddings in Ever After could be a huge boon for his chocolate business, but risking more up-close-and-personal time with Lucky? Considering the stakes, it’s a curse he’ll have to bear, at the risk of being humiliated—or perhaps, bewitched . . .

Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is a fun new series by Saranna DeWylde about Fairy Godmothers adjusting to a modern era. The town of Ever After is a cute little town with kitschy themed stores and restaurants run by your favorite fairytale characters. They are so seamlessly blended with characters from the modern world that you find yourself believing that you too may have a Fairy Godmother working on your happily ever after. The romantic storyline is sweet, but also has some real character development and growth which takes this would be Disney plot and turns it into a solid novel. The Fairy Godmother trio gives serious Flora, Fauna, and Meriweather vibes and the additional townspeople (fairy tale characters in their own right) are all wonderful and full of surprises. This series will be an inevitable favorite of mine and I can't wait to see how it all develops as the Fairy Godmothers continue to help those in need while developing their corporate empire!

This story was a sweet bite of chocolate. I ended up smiling my way through it, despite the disasters that seemed to follow Lucky wherever she went, even Ever After. She and Ransom totally deserve a Happily Ever After from their fairy godmothers! And I am glad they got it. Ransom is a good guy, any guy that smells like chocolate (Lucky's observation) have a lot going for them in my opinion. Plus he does his best to keep his employees at his chocolate business (Heart's Desire) taken care of. He is just a decent guy and doesn't deserve the name he got so many years ago. Lucky is pretty awesome too, with her chaotic powers of unluck. I really liked her form of justice by hug. She is really good to her friend Gwen though, and her two little "monsters". There is lots of chaos (thanks to Lucky but also meddling by the godmothers) in this book but it ties up nicely and I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this book. The story appealed to me and was nicely written. There's a lot of cuteness, heart and emotion that make it fairly easy to get swept up into this tale. I loved the setting and the premise behind this read but I did have some issues with it. Ransom and Lucky made quite the pair and boy, I'll admit from the blurb I was rooting for them. However, as the storyline unfolds my emotions and thoughts are forced to change multiple times and in the end I just wasn't sure I could 100% back this couple. Even though Ransom had me feeling a bit confused, I still thought he deserved better. By my own accord I am posting a candid review.
