Last of her kind, but drawn to two different Kings . While there is a shadow man assisting the dark king trying to kidnap her. All the while she is discovering new skills and abilities and trying to find out more about the changes she faces. Normally I wouldn't be interested in this type of novel but the bookstore app suggested this author and I am quite glad, because I have been reading a number of novels by this author and find myself pleasantly surprised by the style and content of these books.

I enjoyed this book however ridiculously short it was. The plot was riveting. That said, the constant teen internal dialogue annoyed me to the point where I skimmed through most of the book to get to the actual story. It's a little annoying to end a book just as the story seems to begin and then search for the next installment. Alas, things we do for entertainment...

omg you cannot read just the first book of a series. I have learned,you need to buy the whole set before you even get started on the first page. I love every series of odettes I've read to date. a brilliant auther that takes you on an adventure you never want to leave. love love love these books. you will never be disappointed they are all electrifying intense and so full of action. the characters are all wonderful.makes you want to always be on the side of the good guys.
