About this ebook

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • In this ambitious, rich vampire novel of vision and power, the indomitable vampire hero, Lestat de Lioncourt, returns ... caught up in an urgent and fundamental quest to understand the origins of the Undead and the deeper meanings of existence for both mortals and immortals.

“In my dreams, I saw a city fall into the sea . . . And all the world was shaken . . .”

Now Lestat, Prince of the vast tribe of the undead, finds himself at war with a strange, ancient, otherworldly form that has somehow taken possession of his immortal body and spirit, and it is through this perilous and profound struggle that we come to be told the hypnotic tale of a great sea power of ancient times: a mysterious heaven on earth situated on a boundless continent in the Atlantic Ocean.

As we learn of the mighty, resonant powers and perfections of this lost kingdom of Atalantaya, the lost realms of Atlantis, we come to understand how and why the vampire Lestat, indeed all the vampires, must reckon so many millennia later with the terrifying force of this ageless, all-powerful Atalantaya spirit. An exhilarating novel that deepens Rice’s vampire mythology as it brings together the ancient worlds and beings of the Vampire Chronicles and opens up to us a whole new universe of characters, history, storytelling, and legend.

My Review contains SPOILERS!** I deeply enjoyed this novel. As well as the audio-book read by the talented Simon Vance! Bravo! I don't understand a readers frustrations with the 12,000-year-old self-cloning aliens called Replimoids. It is not beyond the realms of science fiction and Anne has shown obviously that the Vampires reside in a vast universe with many many entities co-existing! I'm so excited to see where the new novel Blood Communion: A Tale of Prince Lestat goes with the concept of them and what more we can learn of Amel, and who he was, who he now is... Who was Memnoch? The True Satan the Devil against Jehovah God the Father of Jesus Christ? Is the Christian faith, the TRUTH in the realms of The Vampire Chronicles and The Mayfair Witches and Anne's other novels connected to The Talamasca? Or is he like Grempt, an ancient spirit. My beloved Mona Mayfair and Tarquinn Blackwood, what were your last words to each other? What were your final moment my darlings!? Why couldn't Lestat protect his beautiful children!? Why were they flagrant from him in such times!? Looking so forward to Anne's vision for the future of The Tribe! I don't get anybody trying to take the essence away from the creator of the story. I know this book had a lot of mixed reviews but I have to tip my hat to Anne for giving this Universe such depth... literally.

I had no idea what to expect because I haven't read any of the series for quite a few years, plus I was a little reluctant of Anne Rice's ability to embrace and portray the darker parts of her characters after she drank the sanctified cool-aid some years ago.. However, I am very impressed with this work so far - 2/3 of the way in, and it draws all of my attention to the story.

Anne Rice's book, Prince Lestat is truly one of many Masterpieces Anne has authored. Annes characters are sometimes based on persons from her own life events. Anne combines fictional and non-fictional characters to tell the story. Anne is well Educated In theology, history, events and places. Anne keeps the reader lingering for more of her novels, as her beautiful vampire characters thirst for blood, as they have a unique story of how they came to be, and what they were witness to over the millennium.
