About this ebook

She’s an old flame…and now she’s my boss.

I’ve been one of the top goalies in hockey for fifteen years. At this stage of my career, I should be winding down. Instead, I’m traded to the worst team in the league.

The same team my ex now owns.

Not only that, part of the deal is me being able to live in her guest cottage.

And that kind of proximity is dangerous.

In spite of everything, the chemistry between us is still off the charts.

But that’s not happening.

Between spending the summer with my nine-year-old daughter and gearing up to take on a leadership role with the Phantoms, I don’t have time for the drama that comes with getting involved with Harper

Some things are inevitable, though.

All eyes in the hockey world are on the only female owner in the league, and if we’re going to make a power play, we need to work together.

But that means keeping our heads in the game, and our hearts out of the equation.

This book was a lot of fun. These two start out as enemies, they did not end their marriage on a happy note. But it was also a really awesome second chance romance with lotsa baggage on both sides. In addition, it was super fun watching Harper build her dream team. I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is Gabe and Harper’s story and it was an entertaining, witty, well written second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me. I fell hard and fast for L.A. Phantom Gabe, and Harper the woman who is afraid to take another chance with him. Gabe is such a wonderful man and how he treated Harper and was there to support her no matter what just about melted my heart. I loved the chemistry and friendship that developed between them and the banter between them was witty.
