Instrumen hanyalah media kita dalam bermain musik. Yang menjadi tujuan utama kita adalah bermain musik dengan baik dan benar.  

Untuk Bisa Bermain gitar (dan bermain musik) dengan baik dan benar kita membutuhkan pemahaman. Pemahaman dalam mengaplikasikan teori musik pada gitar. Hal yang sama juga terjadi pada instrument lainnya. 

Yang kita lakukan adalah menyesuaikan dengan instrumen yang kita mainkan. Semoga buku Guitar Secret 2 ini bisa membawa pemahaman yang lebih baik kepada pembaca dan bermanfaat untuk kemajuan musik di Indonesia.

ACHMAD ANANDA BIOGRAPHY as A GUITARIST

born 1975, full name Achmad Ananda Indra Purnama, born in jakarta, capital of indonesia, is among the young guitarplayers in indonesia’s current jazzscene probably the most promising.

He started playing guitar at the age of 12. 1997 at the age of 22 he discovered the challenge and the beauty of playing jazz, when he met the great indonesian jazz pianist Idang Rasjidi. Short after that he studied with the great Oele Pattiselano and Denny Tr, followed by taking classes from the german Jazzmaster Günter Weiss.

In 2000 Idang Rasjidi asked him to join his band which gave him the opportunity to get deeper into the music and to develope his own unique style.Another milestone in his career was when he met John Stowell and japanese guitarplayer Hideaki Tokunaga. John’s lessons had a major influence on his view on either playing guitar and music in general.At present Nanda is a regular featured guest on many jazz festivals in asia (Penang/Jakjazz/Javajazz 2005 – until now/Singapore) and abroad. 2004 he was invited to perform at the indonesian embassy in Norway.


Besides Itmos he currently plays guitar as sideman of Indonesians rising jazz icon Tompi , Rieka roeslan, Margie Seggers , Sister Duke,Opus tree big band,MANNA, Dian Pramana Poetra,Nengah & Nanda,  and etc . ITMOS is his latest project, an acoustic collaboration with german pianist Stefan Thiele. He was born in 1991 in Jakarta. He is passionate about music, guitar and composing songs. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 with his brother. After autodidact study, He learnt jazz with Achmad Ananda to have deeper understanding about guitar playing and music. He did performed in Jazz Goes to Campus with his band Luscious Monday from 2011 to 2013. Now He is finishing his First Mini Album Called “Hope” and become supporting musician for Ahmad Fadhil (a vocalist and trumpet player). Amirci is one of his projects with Anya Paramesthrie and Mirza Andhika. The Amirci Trio play standard jazz music in some occasion.
