I got the sense this is a love unfiltered type of novel. I enjoyed the realism and the simplistic beauty that comes with human being allowing themselves to feel within each moment. Work to personal thinking these messages carry a sort of rare focus to after the memorable "honeymoon phase" people wish could last but sadly isn't the case to building a lasting relationship. Agree what this book lingered on in passion it shines light on lasting relationship realism which I think is the moral of this

Although My Sinful Nights is a re-working of an older story, it’s one I hadn’t read by Lauren Blakely. The originals are in my TBR list on my kindle. So, this version is like a brand new book for me and I loved it as much as any other I’ve devoured by this author. It’s a wonderful start to a 5 part series and is a second chance romance- one of my favorite tropes. Shannon and Brent were more than college sweethearts, they were once engaged, but living thousands of miles apart after graduation had beaten down their relationship, and when Shannon arrived in town to surprise Brent, she got a huge one instead and broke everything off with him. They go their separate ways and try to go on with their lives, but at the back of their minds is always that lingering thought. What if? Ten years later they’re both based in Vegas, and are they’re finally reunited… if only by accident- or was it fate? Shannon is a choreographer and Brent a successful club owner who has hired Shannon’s company unknowing it’s hers. Shannon has past issues and hurts separate from Brent’s failings which causes a lot of angst and heartache for her. Brent wants her back and he’ll do what it takes to make that happen, even if it means facing down her protective brothers. This was a fabulous story. The chemistry between Shannon and Brent was beautiful to behold. It was clear how much they’d loved and missed each other. I was rooting for them from start to finish. Up next, is book 2. My Sinful Desire. Can’t wait to read it.

Amazing second-chance romance! It takes real talent to write such believable characters that you can see each side and write them so the reader, even knowing why the characters do what they do, still sympathizes with each one's choices. Shannon and Brent are separated by a classic misunderstanding, but the writing is so exquisitely on-point that even when you see that it's all wrong the separation still feels inevitable. Years later, a business deal brings them back into each other's orbits and the truth doesn't take long to rise to the surface. I swooned for Brent, cried with Shannon, and cheered them both when they realized that they hadn't lost everything. All the raw emotional intensity they couldn't deny powered them through the necessary steps in charting their future together, and it was a beautiful, brilliant story to read. And the drive-thru - what a perfectly spontaneous, yet long-awaited event! We really get to know all of Shannon's family in this book, and it's clear that the mystery surrounding their parents is going to be played out in the subsequent books that focus on each of her brother's romances. I'm looking forward to reading each one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
