About this ebook

#1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner delivers "a tale of love against the odds" (People).

Rachel Blum and Andy Landis are just eight years old when they meet one night in an ER waiting room. Born with a congenial heart defect, Rachel is a veteran of hospitals, and she's intrigued by the boy who shows up alone with a broken arm. He tells her his name. She tells him a story. After Andy's taken back to a doctor and Rachel's sent back to her bed, they think they'll never see each other again.

Yet, over the next three decades, Andy and Rachel will meet again and again—linked by chance, history, and the memory of the first time they met, a night that changed both of their lives.

A sweeping, warmhearted, and intimate tale, Who Do You Love is an extraordinary novel about the passage of time, the way people change and change each other, and how the measure of a life is who you love.

I have read quite a few of Jennifer Weiner novels and was suprised at how hooked I was after just reading the sample. Rachel and Andy had me at hello and I couldn't wait to meet them again as they continued to meet over the years. But somewhere around the middle of the novel the story started to run like Andy and left out the heart of the relationships and became dissapointing. Oh well I still had fun.

The characters in this novel are compelling and keep you reading, wanting to find out what happens in their life. Unfortunately, Andy is no better than Jay in the end. The ending definitely felt rushed and was not a great choice. It felt like a safe choice and reinforced the all too common idea, that for true love, no deeds are unforgivable. Unfortunately in real life we sometimes have to walk away forever, from a person who hurts us without thought of the consequences.

I thought it was a little slow to start but quickly changed my mind. I felt connected to the characters and enjoyed reading their story. Thank you!
