Bailey is fiercely independent because she has had to be. Dakota is an ex-SEAL living a new dream and enjoying life but missing out on one thing-true love, He doesn’t know how to achieve it so he tells himself he doesn’t need it. Throw them together and you get a story of Bailey’s growth and acceptance that she is ready to move forward with her life and possibly claim the new one that is in front of her that Dakota lives in but she must decide if she can live there with him in the dreaded friend zone. Should she embrace her new life, should she go back to her old life—does Dakota factor into her decision at all, does he want to factor into the decision—men can be dense after all. A very enjoyable book nine of the Heroes for Hire series which can be read stand alone or all together—I read them all and hope you do too! Wonderful story of love old and new. People work and respect each other talents. Some mystery and suspense.
