This prequel had me glued to my chair. It is one of those rare & wonderful books that starts with a bang and delivers one surprise after another maintaining a relentless pace of action and unending suspense throughout. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation for Tanya Stone, an FBI recruit, and her friends, evolves into a wickedly twisted murder mystery. I loved the story, the brisk pace, and the wonderful characters. Tanya’s highly trained K9, Max, is a real scene-stealer. Great story!

Great opening to a new series. Wonderful characters from previous series in a new setting. Tense, gut wrenching story with plenty of action and plenty of suspects. Enjoy this suspense filled story. Looking forward to the next adventure.

Cardboard cut out, two dimensional characters and the dialogue just doesn't seem real. I just couldn't get into it.
