".. وفي منتصف الليل، والفتاة نائمة، رأى الرَّجلُ المَيْتُ العروسَ تفتح فمها فيخرج منه تنّين بثلاثة رؤوس، فما كان منه إلا أن قطع رؤوس التنين الثلاثة بسيفه، وخبّأها في مئزره ثم عاد إلى نومه، وفي الصباح أفاقت الفتاة وإذا بزوجها حَيّ إلى جوارها". في هذه الحكايات يكثر ذِكر (التنين) وسيلةً للشرِّ أو للخير، الاستعباد أو التحرر، المصيبة أو الخلاص منها.. بينما يستمر (الغَجَر) في رحيلهم الأبديّ.
