About this ebook

Everyone has their secrets... Teen alchemist Mariela’s new life in the Labyrinth City is going swimmingly so far: She’s purchased a home of her own, opened an apothecary, and befriended people from all walks of life, starting with a former penal laborer named Sieg. Only a select few know she’s one of the last remaining alchemists, but that secret’s proving harder and harder to keep under wraps... Between a startling discovery about the fearsome Labyrinth and the emergence of a powerful family of potion researchers, a quiet city life is easier said than done!

Wow, did things escalate. My gut impression for one sideplot was "I want my my money back, I got invested in a trap!" Otherwise, more characters are introduced, so this wasn't a complete slow life story- deeper parts of the dungeon are shown. Mariela is living her best slow life, she breaks up the heavy events. Can't wait to read the next one

This volume was great! Lot less world building in this one (most of it was in the first volume) so there was a larger focus on the characters and plot. Things got really interesting in this volume and I loved seeing the perspectives of some minor characters as well. I'm really excited for the next volume which I hope will come soon!
