About this ebook

Sheikh Issam doesn’t have time to find a bride. He’d rather a sign would appear to him, signaling the perfect woman and save him the trouble of finding her. However, he didn’t foresee the sign being the sister-in-law of his rival nation’s president crashing into the holiest temple in his country. Now, he and the fearsome beauty must find a way to circumvent the ancient religious law that demands her death—or he’ll face war on three fronts.

Mackenzie came to Al-Dashalid with a mission: save the women’s shelter that had taken root in a disputed fort between Al-Dashalid and her brother-in-law’s country. With war growing more likely every day, she doesn’t have time to waste arguing her way out of an unjust death sentence. She’s ready to sit down with Sheikh Issam and make sure he understands that the safety of the women and children in the shelter is more important than his alpha-male posturing.

What Mackenzie isn’t ready for is Issam offering her the perfect out: marriage. Members of the royal family are exempt from prosecution of holy law. He’ll meet his marriage deadline, and she’ll have his ear about the disputed fort and its vulnerable occupants. It seems perfect.

Now if only she could get him to listen…

This is another great read from Leslie and a super addition to the series, while it can be read easily on its own I think its better read in order. In this book, we meet Mackenzie and Issam when she gets into an accident and hits a pillar in the holy temple he can save her from a death sentence if he marries her. This was a good read I liked the characters and the storyline held my interest.

I found this book very entertaining and enjoyable. The overall plot had a charming blend of cute and serious. I liked both characters and thought they had good chemistry. I just loved how passionate Mackenzie was about what she felt was right and important. As much as I liked Issam, I also wish he had been more open minded, a shade less condescending in his actions and a much better listener, if for no other reason than that he truly cared about his people.

I enjoyed this final story in the "Sheikhs of Al-Dashalid" trilogy! All good stories that are also stand alone reads. I enjoyed Mackenzie and Issam's story! It's a fairly quick and short read with an enjoyable plot. These characters have great chemistry and definitely meet their match with each other. Overall very enjoyable fake to so much more story!

About the author

Leslie North is the pen name for a critically-acclaimed author of women's contemporary romance and fiction. The anonymity gives her the perfect opportunity to paint with her full artistic palette, especially in the romance and erotic fantasy genres.

The truth of the matter is she loves her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her normal, day-to-day persona! Her bestselling books focus on strong characters and particularly women who aren't afraid to challenge an alpha male. Inspired after years of travel, her stories are set all over the world, from the tough streets of Russia to the beautiful beaches of the middle east.

Leslie fell in love with romance when she first picked up a scrappy, dog-eared romance book from her local library. She began writing soon after and the rest, as they say, was history. She now lives in a cozy cottage on the British coast and enjoys taking long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.
