Offered as a free Book, there was no mention it was only Part 1 of 3. Did not work as a stand alone story for me. Very frustrating to be left hanging before I could get invested in the main characters just disappointed. Too predictable.

Waste of time to read it. You can guess what's coming next. Character dialogue is phony and forced. Supposed to come across as a thriller, but comes off corny.

Carrie has returned home after three years. To the home that she left after her father was wrongfully convicted. The home where friends and enemies reside. Trying to have a positive outlook on her future she takes an emotional step forward. Ms. Raine does it again. She creates a story that slowly builds up and then ends with a bang. Carrie is trying to find the truth. As she moves forward she has the support of friends, but in the end are they really friends? The characters in this story add so much suspense, angst and mystery. You won't know who to trust and who to not. The story ends in a cliffhanger and of course Ms. Raine does one heck of a job so that you NEED to read the next story ASAP. You may think you know what is coming next but I have a feeling there will be plenty of surprises. I received a gift copy in exchange for an honest review
