About this ebook

Though the young Warchief Thrall ended the demon curse that had plagued his people for generations, the orcs still wrestle with the sins of their bloody past. As the rampaging Horde, they waged a number of devastating wars against their perennial enemy -- the Alliance. Yet the rage and bloodlust that drove the orcs to destroy everything in their path nearly consumed them as well.

Long ago, on the idyllic world of Draenor, the noble orc clans lived in relative peace with their enigmatic neighbors, the draenei. But the nefarious agents of the Burning Legion had other plans for both of the unsuspecting races. The demon-lord Kil'jaeden set in motion a dark chain of events that would succeed not only in eradicating the draenei, but forging the orc clans into an single, unstoppable juggernaut of hatred and destruction.

I have always wondered about the two races mentioned in this book and where they came from, this really covered it for me. I started off reading the book by Knakk (Day of the Dragon) and realized I wasn't understanding the things they would mention within the book like (the first and second war.) I googled the books and novels in chronological order and this seemed to be the first, I LOVED it. I couldn't put my tablet down reading it. All the authors of these WoW novels do a very good job blending the stories with each other. I'm on "Beyond the Dark Porta" now and it starts off right where this one ends, fantastic.

A very interesting book with thrall's father, Durotan as the main protagonist, with the occasional switch of perspective done in seamless transition. Definitely recommend this to any who are interested in warcraft lore, or any newcomers into this vast universe. I also recommend a re-read before the new expansion of WoW, Warlords of Dreanor.

Good book for anyone who cares about the back story of the Warcraft universe. The ebook has some errors, though. "Large" section breaks are not shown properly, giving the false impression that the author jumps randomly from place to place and from character to character. This is not the author's fault; it is purely a formatting problem in the ebook.
