loved the three book series but I'm a little confused, in the book Deep in the Valley, it's said that both deputies are young husbands and fathers but in book 3 Down by the river, it sais that deputy Ricky is a bachelor.

A small town community in northern California. Family dr. Cafe owner police and mountain families who have grown up together and take care of each other.

the story moves in many directions and keeps your interest. I always loved this writer.
