Michael’s power broke free to protect his girlfriend but it scared her away and changed him forever and Gwen’s been own concerns leftover from the past and the reader can’t help but get drawn into the story as they help each other overcome their past emotional issues only to have the past come back to haunt them. These two are strong compelling characters on their own but together they make a very charismatic couple that grabs reader’s attention from the very beginning and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. Michael’s ex has returned but there’s something different about her and before they know what it is Gwen learns that her ex is behind a very evil plot – one that involves Michael. Lots of thrilling excitement and suspense to keep readers shivering in anticipation with well written scenes and details that bring the story to vibrant life while the well orchestrated events enthralls readers and ensures that they can’t put the book down until they have read every last word. There is never a dull moment in Seattle or Edenton so of course I was a willing captive of this story from beginning to end.

Michael Nights has a secret that he has been keeping from everyone except his uncle. The only reason why his uncles knows is because he is helping him keep the secret. But this secret has torn his life apart. His first love left him because of it. And he has never been the same. since. Now he meets this girl, Gwen, at a party, and everything is thrown up in the air. His secret is about to revealed. Will everyone be able to accept him now that his secret is out? Gwen Fate is a woman that Mike meets at a party and things click for them. But it's too much for him at first so he runs. But she wants more. So when they meet again, she takes advantage of it to help him with his secret. But things starting heating up for them. They both have a past that they have to face before things can move forward with them. Will their past tear them apart? Will Mike accepts his nature? Will Gwen accept Mike? And will Mike accept Gwen? I loved this book. Once I started reading this book I could not put it down. This is the second book by this author that I have read and she has become one of favorite authors. I recommend this book to others.
