Lauren Taylor is the pen name for the author who currently resides near St Louis, Missouri but grew up near Houston, Texas. Lauren’s natural humor as well as sensuality keeps her readers enthralled. Her stories are peppered with snippets of Texas’ various traditions such as East Texas Baptists to Cajun extra spicy to Houston Rodeo’s “Chicken Committee” mixed in with the ‘hocus pocus’ of the spirit world and tarot cards. EJ Johnson, is an amalgam of the typical Texas woman although raised in affluent surroundings with deep familial roots in the Lone Star State. Best friend Janet Davis is only slightly crazier but definitely Texas born and bred.
Now in her sixties Ms. Taylor enjoys speaking entertaining groups with her wit on such topics as life growing up in East Texas with Cajun ancestry to her early years to challenges of human resources professionals to helping women deal and laugh with the craziness of life. Her memoir “I Can’t Believe That Was Me…Oh yes I can and it still is”, is a hilarious account of her early life as a human resources professional.
