About this ebook

"This story is everything I love about romantic comedy!" - USA Today Bestselling Author Kylie Gilmore

An out-of-place single mother and a thrill-seeking widower collide in the Wedding Capital of the Midwest!

Natalie Castellano didn't have the wedded bliss experience typical of her hometown, but that won't stop her from ensuring this year's bridal festival goes off without a hitch. Even if it means she has to play nice with the man who broke her fairy tale.

World adventurer and reluctant local hero CJ Blue doesn't want to be in Bliss anymore than Natalie wants him here. But family obligations have brought him back, and now, Natalie is using every trick she has to rope him into helping save a tradition he'd rather forget.

Despite their rocky past, these two wounded souls have more in common than they expect. They've both loved and lost, they've both tried to move on, and now they've both locked up their hearts. But by joining forces for the sake of Bliss, they might find the courage to risk love one more time.

Although it ended just OK, this book was not good. There's no way a devoted father would allow anyone to bully his daughter. And I did not like the fact that the author seemed to glorify the bully either. It was also sad that the author only changed the bullies character because she got involved with a man; which made her seem stupid and shallow.

Natalie a is divorced mother who lives in a town called Bliss. This little town's claim to fame is that it has the title of the "Most Married-est Town on Earth". Her father wants her to run the bridal store that had been so important to his wife so she agrees even though business is slow and being divorced she's not well thought of in that town. The woman known as Queen General chairs all the bridal activities and makes sure the town keeps its title. Everyone is basically afraid of her and does everything they can to stay out of her way. CJ is the reason Natalie's marriage ended so when he comes back to town for a wedding she avoids him. But he's back just when the annual husband games are on. He was a former winner of The Husband Games and is pressured to participate in them again. Even though he didn't want to enter he does just to make everyone else happy. This threw him and Natalie together often and sparks flew. This was an enjoyable story with quirky characters. I expected this story to be more of a romance since it's set in a bridal town. It was a romance but not a light read. The characters were crazy! Especially Queen General. She was someone you had to dislike. Natalie was so smart and capable but thought so poorly of herself that I couldn't like her. CJ's family, especially his sisters were very likeable and fun. The ending was good and left me in tears. Happy ones.

I love a good RomCom and this didn't disappoint! She-Who-Shall-not-be-defied has poor Natalie in a tizz. I must admit I would NOT be as diplomatic - I'd have whacked her a good oneg LOOOOOONG before she got her just desserts. Meeting the Blue family and learning all their names was a hoot. No wonder CJ goes but his initials! A certain cutie stole the show, especially when he's charming customers in the shop. I did feel that Natalie was by turns awesome and her own worst enemy. She just kept caving every time I thought "this is it, she's gonna give them what for!" The Queen General was just so odious I really didn't know how she could or would redeem herself. I really wanted to throttle Natalie and Lindsay's dad - yes he lost his wife but he then checked out and had no interest in his business and had the audacity to blame Nat for all their problems! Well worth a read and I've put the rest of the series on my seriously out of control TBR list.
