About this ebook

The Book That Started a Million Enneagram Journeys!

What you don't know about yourself can hurt you and your relationships—and even keep you in the shallows with God. Do you want help figuring out who you are and why you're stuck in the same ruts?

The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing system with an uncanny accuracy in describing how human beings are wired, both positively and negatively. In The Road Back to You Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile forge a unique approach—a practical, comprehensive way of accessing Enneagram wisdom and exploring its connections with Christian spirituality for a deeper knowledge of ourselves, compassion for others, and love for God.

Witty and filled with stories, this book allows you to peek inside each of the nine Enneagram types, keeping you turning the pages long after you have read the chapter about your own number. Not only will you learn more about yourself, but you will also start to see the world through other people's eyes, understanding how and why people think, feel, and act the way they do.

To guide your first steps into your self-awareness journey, The Road Back to You offers:

  • Introductions to each Enneagram type
  • Questions to help you identify your number
  • Changes you can make today to pursue deeper self-awareness
  • Digestible windows into the other types, helping you see others with more compassion and empathy

The wisdom of the Enneagram can help take you further along into who you really are—leading you into places of spiritual discovery you would never have found on your own, and paving the way to the wiser, more compassionate person you want to become.

The Road Back to you is helpful, but from a place of rebellion, not so much. In our rebelliousness we often strive to discover our identity by proving to everyone that 1)my experiences were awful, I demand they repent of all (every one who has ever done me wrong)-this is a war campaign about 1a) my worth and. 1b)value and 2) remaining at war is choosing an endless striving to find restoration for all the horrible things that have ever been done to me. and until you meet all my demands and expectations we will continue to be at war because in my wounding I insist on sucking my thumb because 1) I was hurt 2) It is your job to acknowledge and repent then admit that you were wrong therefore I am justified till you come to me repent of all that you have ever done to me and until you and everyone comes and fulfill my sense of being wronged and then gives me what I deserve - the Prodigal - I know what is mine I won't wait for it I want it now Till you find peace and rest inside you remain at war inside and with everyone you perceived did you wrong (whether it is true or just the how your perception has been skewed in "the wrong(s)" your perceptions have begun to keep record and the "more"- the longer this takes to resolve"the list of wrongs" just keeps growing. to an unforgiving person at war the material makes no sense because until I make peace with heaven and those with perceived wrongs) - my view of things remains to insure my perception remains skewed - - until I return to my father and say father I have signed against heaven (God) and you (the person I began to hold responsible and make an ever growing and/ or changing list of my demands) seeking healthy relations with God who is my source, my supply and my restoration - I continue sitting in judgement against God and those whom my sin gives me cause to to demand my rights and those whom my perception tells me also owe me. sorry for the length but as a Prodigal myself I have needed to recognize my father did me no wrong I did him wrong by insisting He did and insisting on living my life and my way till it was resolved to my demands and my own satisfaction. my broken relationship with my father in my demands that He heal me first and come on his knees to beg my forgiveness and seek my restoration instead of me seeking his

I'm upset there was no actual map. Reading it was like trying to visualize a map. Where is the road back to me? I'm lost on highway 66 and if anyone would come pick me up, it'd be great.
