I loved the story of Cheyenne and Duke. Cheyenne is just your normal, everyday woman who wishes for a happy ever after. She gets taken hostage in a grocery store and a bomb strapped to her chest. This is where Duke comes in. After admiring her cool, under the pressure attitude while he's trying to dismantle the bomb, he's impressed enough to follow up on her. You learn Cheyennes story and why she is how she is. Duke can't get enough of her and moves along at a quick pace getting to know her better. I liked that the book didn't start out with them immediately jumping into sex, but that they took the time to get to know each other first. However, that didn't stop the pages from heating up with their interactions. When they finally did make love, I had to turn the fan on! I liked the quick pace of the book, it didn't slow down for a minute. The interaction between Cheyenne and the other ladies as well as the team members made you feel immediately that she was accepted as one of them. The twists and turns near the end of the book kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how they would handle everything. Ms. Stoker worked it out perfectly! Loved the book as much as the rest of the series and can't wait for the next one!

Whoa, this was a doozy of a story with lots of elements interacting! It seems simple enough, but the dynamics in the group are changing as it grows and people are added. Cheyenne has little self confidence and Faulkner has more than enough to spare, that is why they click from the start. She doesn’t need someone to look after her, she needs someone to believe in her and show her her worth. Faulkner needs someone to ground him, to bring out his emotions and not to be so closed off. They provide this for each other and even though their love is born out of repeated traumas, it is strong and unbreakable <3

We meet quiet Cheyenne in this book. Nothing like first time talking with the man of your dreams with a bomb wrapped around you but "Dude" and Faulkner is just who she needs..in more ways than one...I adored this book...the way Cheyenne is so sweet and yet so very strong...again emotions ripped from my body...another 5 star book
