It's very redundant and long winded. Honestly could have been edited down and would have been better. Main character really doesn't have a personality other then I want to survive and not much interesting memories from his past either. For all the potential there is for the premise it's just wasted and the plot also doesn't really seem to progress much. The author set up a protagonist who can mutate and get stronger but he never displays the characters strength vs an advisary around his strength or weaker. I know the fights with the monsters was supposed to display his strength progression but they weren't really something that actually feels important at all. Over all I felt like I wasted my time. And it doesn't even seem like he become a king at the end either.

The story progression was average and overall pretty good. However, I get a similar feeling as web novels where they add fluff to meet word counts. It probably wasn't intended that way, but for me the side stories didn't bring any progression or importance to the storyline. I know I sound negative, but I would still recommend reading it.

A Good Read it's not perfect: the author is a bit redundant in places, especially when it comes to making sure the reader knows the rules about how his undead work, and other bits of exposition. but I still found it an engaging read in spite of that. I liked our protagonist and found his analytical if sometimes pathological outlook on things interesting. definitely worth the read. I'm only sad there isnt a volume 2 out yet at the time of writing this review.
