I had watched the 80s movie and the one from 2011 before reading this story. It was nice to read the inspiration for the movies. Campbell succeeds in portraying the sense of mounting dread, suspicion and paranoia, along with claustrophobia. A fun read.

A remarkable story for its time that still entertains. The three Hollywood adaptations are different enough that the original story still holds the reader's attention. It's how the plot gets there that matters.

Fantastic book. Loved reading it. Nail-biting thrills and paranoia really make this a good read
