About this ebook

THE PHENOMENAL BESTSELLER

'Honestly I cannot recommend it too strongly... one of the fastest selling science titles of all time because it is so clear' Jeremy Vine, BBC Radio 2

'There's a book I've been carrying around like a small Bible, Seven Brief Lessons on Physics' - Benedict Cumberbatch

Everything you need to know about modern physics, the universe and your place in the world in seven enlightening lessons

These seven short lessons guide us, with simplicity and clarity, through the scientific revolution that shook physics in the twentieth century and still continues to shake us today. In this beautiful and mind-bending introduction to modern physics, Carlo Rovelli explains Einstein's theory of general relativity, quantum mechanics, black holes, the complex architecture of the universe, elementary particles, gravity, and the nature of the mind. In under eighty pages, readers will understand the most transformative scientific discoveries of the twentieth century and what they mean for us.

Not since Richard Feynman's celebrated best-seller Six Easy Pieces has physics been so vividly, intelligently and entertainingly revealed.

This book is for beginners only. It deals only with literature of Physics. No real physics is involved. If you are a science student or a Maths/Physics major, this books is not for you. This book's level is way below than those of Brief History of Time or Theory of Everything. I was very upset after buying it. Don't go for it if you have already began your journey. This is for mere beginners.

For a start i skim read the author and thought it was a women. My mistake. Overall ok, nothing new or mind blowing which is not transcribed by other authors on the subject. Leads up to a big question which he admits he does not have the pages to answer but i suspect is the same ephemeral question noone can answer. There is no unifying theory on what makes us 'us' and crosses all the boundaries of all scientific breadth and knowledge. Will there ever be? Driven by our own self destruction we will kill ourselves before finding out the answer by the same passion that makes us fight over it. The one, God, whatever name you give to the singular entity from which we rebounded or exploded from.

Loved reading the concise description of the distilled knowledge of last century or so of human exploration in to the mystery of nature. Strongly recommend for every curious mind to ignite the thirst for knowledge and understanding. Thank you.
