Been some time since I've read a book from Mr Gemmell and was unsure if I would find it as good as the original books that made some a great writer, but was pleasantly and pleasingly surprised.

Ever since I've read Legend, Gemmells first tale I've been simply pulled in to every world he's created. This one is no different, next!

i have read this great book so many times it has so much caracter that no matter what you cannot put the book down

About the author

David A. Gemmell's first novel, Legend, was first published in 1984 and went on to become a classic. His most recent Drenai and Rigante novels are available as Corgi paperbacks; all are Sunday Times bestsellers.

Widely regarded as the finest writer of heroic fantasy, David Gemmell lived in Sussex until his tragic death in July 2006.
