We start by learning the pros and cons of bootstrap, as well as how to decide whether or not to use bootstrap in a project. We then go on to create our first bootstrap project. We also learn how to customize Bootstrap themes through CSS along with some best practices to consider when overriding styles. It also explains in brief how to generate a custom build of bootstrap and use that in our project instead of the entire thing. We get to learn how to use the bootstrap less files in our projects and integrate with our own build system with grunt. We learn how to customize Bootstrap plugins by adding our own styles and by defining our own jQuery plugin. We learn about the bootstrap grid system and third-party plugins and also ways to create our own theme with bootswatch. This book is not intended to be a bootstrap guide. Knowledge of it is essential to fully utilize this book. What this book does is gives you everything that you need in order to become a master at customizing Bootstrap and build awesome projects with it.
