Wonderful: This was a fabulous small town, romantic suspense novel. I really enjoyed the mystery and suspense which kept me on the edge of my seat and frantically turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. There were layers to the plot and an excellent balance between action and dialogue. Eliza and Lance made a wonderful couple and I grew very fond of them. The tension between these two was high until Eliza finally lowered her guard and admitted that she needed not only Lance's help but his companionship too. I enjoyed seeing their personal growth and thought the Christian message was really well done too. I can't wait to continue on with the rest of the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

4.5 stars. Oh my did this story take me on a journey, I welled up on more than one occasion. I thought the characters were written well, the story was interesting and once I started I just had to finish it in one sitting. They did not have the best start and I wanted to hug them both so many times, but I never doubted that there was something between them and that in time they would get to where they needed to be. I thought Eliza showed such strength of character, she had been through so much and was so brave to let people in again, to trust, to care, to grow and to stand up for herself. Lance struggled with his conviction and his feelings, but he never gave up and never walked away, even when the spotlight moved to him. I loved the supporting characters in this, the support Eliza and Lance got from them and the love that was shown so many times in this story. This is a new author for me and I am very much looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series and spending more ti

Great book!!! When Eliza realises she had a stalker, she knows she needs help and that comes from ex military Hunk, Lance. Loved these two. Fiery, friction and loads of fun this book had. I enjoyed the push pull, the denied attraction between Lance and Eliza. They really were made for each other. The romance was thick as was the steam along with the drama. But I enjoyed it all. Well written, with a great plot and truly likeable characters that had me involved. I'll be looking for more from this author that's for sure. Great work!!!

After spending seven years in the Army, Jessica set out to write novels that would transport readers to new worlds and help them escape reality with messages of underdogs and swoon-worthy romance.
