Quinn by J.C. Cliff is the first book in her new Undaunted Men series. This book is a fast-paced, intense, steamy read with a wonderful cliffhanger ending that will have you biting your nails down to the quick. As far as heroes/heroines go, these two were pretty stellar in my estimation. Alexis is a nice girl with a sunshine outlook but isn't afraid to tough things out and work hard. Meanwhile, Quinn is a tough guy, ex-ranger on a mission to rescue Alexis the mafia "princess". He's not sure yet exactly what it is he is rescuing her from (herself, hitmen, etc) and until he gets a better read on the situation he holds his cards very close to his vest. There were so many moments that made me swoon throughout this story and I am very excited to move on and read part two and resolve this crazy cliffhanger. I really do love to hate them.

J.C. Cliff has gone and done it again! Quinn was one hot, steamy, and suspenseful story. We were first introduced to Quinn, the hot military man in the Blyss Trilogy. Well I am beyond thrilled that he got to shine in his own story. Quinn is content with the life he is living. One-night stands with no commitments. That is until Quinn receives a phone call, an old debt that needs to be repaid. A debt that will change his life forever. Lexi is a mafia princess, but not like any other. Strong, loving, affectionate and trusting. A little too trusting and that has gotten her in a bit of trouble. Convinced by her childhood friend to run away, Lexi disappears, off the grid; venturing into the wilderness on her own. All alone, with no clue how to survive. That is until Quinn finds her and both their lives change forever. The chemistry between them is undeniable from the start. Quinn tries to keep his distance but what he doesn't expect is how Lexi has found a way into his heart. Lexi knows she shouldn't trust a stranger, but she has never felt safer than she does with Quinn. When they finally give into their desires, it's one night they both will never forget. Quinn is all in but Lexi questions his possessiveness. Quinn's actions remind her too much of Vince, the man that once possessed her heart and soul. The same man whose greed changed him and why she left everything behind. When Lexi realizes that Quinn is hiding something from her, she knows she needs to once again run away. Will Lexi be able to run away from her problems? Can Quinn save Lexi? Will the secrets that Lexi and Quinn have destroy what they have found in one another? I am a big fan of J.C. Cliff and as always she did not disappoint. This is a great start to the Undaunted men Series and I can't wait to see what this talented author has in store in Quinn II.

It's not the worst thing I've ever read, but this story just wasn't for me. I didn't care for the characters, and the plot just didn't feel right to me. I couldn't understand the motive for actions and such. I thought it was kinda weird how he does sexual things in his sleep without waking up. I also found it kinda weird that when she wakes up to a stranger being all over her, she isn't bothered by it at all. Most of my issues with the book were things like the two I mentioned, times when I just couldn't really buy in to the storyline.
