About this ebook

From James Dashner, author of the #1Ā New York TimesĀ bestselling Maze Runner series, comesĀ the final book in the Mortality Doctrine series, an edge-of-your-seat cyber-adventure trilogy that includesĀ The Eye of MindsĀ andĀ The Rule of Thoughts.Ā

Includes a sneak peek of The Fever Code, the highly-anticipated conclusion to the Maze Runner seriesā€”the novel that finally reveals how the maze was built!

Ā Ā  Michael used to live to game, but the games he was playing have become all too real. Only weeks ago, sinking into the Sleep was fun. The VirtNet combined the most cutting-edge technology and the most sophisticated gaming for a full mind-body experience. And it was Michaelā€™s passion. But now every time Michael sinks, he risks his life.
Ā Ā Ā  The games are over. The VirtNet has become a world of deadly consequences, and Kaine grows stronger by the day. The Mortality Doctrineā€”Kaineā€™s master planā€”has nearly been realized, and little by little the line separating the virtual from the real is blurring. If Kaine succeeds, it will mean worldwide cyber domination. And it looks like Michael and his friends are the only ones who can put the monster back in the boxā€”ifĀ Michael can figure out who his friends really are.
Ā
Ā Ā  The author who brought you the #1Ā New York TimesĀ bestselling MAZE RUNNER series and two #1 moviesā€”The Maze RunnerĀ andĀ The Scorch Trialsā€”now brings you an electrifying cyber-adventure trilogy that takes you into a world of hyperadvanced technology, cyber terrorists, and gaming beyond your wildest dreams . . . and your worst nightmares.

Great series huge major disasterous let down. I'm really sad I waited months to see how it ended and now I'd rather not know lol. I hope the 3rd maze runner isn't gonna be as bad as this one turned out. Maybe sequels just arnt something James does well.

I understand the ending as a "vague happy, you know what happens" sort but i still would have preferred an actual explanation of it. Would and extra 30 pages really have hurt? I did laugh at the mazerunner references. Interesting way of adding that in.

In the conclusion of this trilogy, Game of Lives is an okay ending. The final face off is pretty shallow and isn't nearly as exciting as some of the battles from the first book. It's really very mediocre. I expected better from a NY Times bestseller.
