Felicity and Danny’s story in V is for Valentine by Jeannie Watts, book three in her Holly, Idaho series, was a wonderful, sweet, enjoyable tale of two people who grew up next-door to each other yet drive each other crazy. Felicity Evans, an investment banker, returns home to Holly, Idaho, after her father breaks his leg. He needs her to help make sure he meets his construction deadline on a historic property, by Valentine’s Day. Danny Montgomery has always had a crush on Felicity; despite her avoidance of him. When Felicity finds her short on help Danny jumps in and offers his help to finish the renovations on the keystone project. With no other choices she agrees to hire him. Working together, Danny is determined to make Felicity face her true feeling for him. Since Felicity lives in Seattle and plans to leave as soon as the project is complete, Danny has three weeks to convince her to give them one more chance and prove they are prove they are the perfect match. I enjoyed seeing these two adults acting like kids again with all the antics going on around them. Felicity had been badly hurt and burned by one guy, giving up a job and relocating for him. This time she was determined not to let Danny sweep her off her feet. Despite trying so hard to guard her heart, it knew her better than her brain, allowing her to realize her true feelings for Danny. Danny was so much more than the persona he let others see. I liked that he was a gentleman, how much he really cared about Felicity and wanted to protect her. Ms. Watts wrote a wonderful story reminding us that people can change as they mature. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, family support, antics that make you laugh, and charming characters giving Felicity and Danny a chance to overcome their past, realize that they are truly attracted to each other, and are perfect together. I highly recommend V is for Valentine to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

We are back in Holly, Idaho with the last of the three Evans sisters still unattached. When her father has an accident and a deadline on a building project, Felicity, an investment banker in Seattle, returns home to help. Danny Montgomery has been a throne on Felicity’s side since his family moved next door when he was 4 years old. Their rivalry was memorable, but when Felicity realizes she needs help in completing her father’s project, she reluctantly accepts his help. As an attraction develops, covered by the rivalry, so do the doubts. Felicity has been burned in love, and Danny is starting a new business. Can these two find their HEA or will the past experiences, and beliefs keep them from that happiness? This was a sweet touching story about family, taking chances, new beginnings and finding love. Having read the previous stories in this series, I enjoyed the other sisters making an appearance. My one hope is that the author gives us a novella where the sisters finally tie the knot. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
