This sequel to "Cats on the Run" is fast-paced and very funny - my nine-year-old devoured it - twice. Each morning we got a crazy update on Tuck and Gingers adventures and he was very sad to finish the second time. The story is ideal for 8yrs+ readers and for parents reading aloud to younger kids. In this installment, Tuck and Ginger are joined by a very engaging collection of new friends and enemies on a even bigger adventure than last time. Gilmore doubles-down on the mayhem, the stakes and the scrapes and builds consistently upon the nature of the two central characters - zany and sensible, silly and courageous - and wraps it all up very nicely. Looking forward to Book 3!!

About the author

Ged Gillmore completed degrees in languages and literature at the University of London. After graduating, Ged worked in France, Germany and Italy before returning to London for eighteen years. Fancying a change to sunnier climes, Ged made the leap to Sydney in early 2004. These days he spends his time between Australia, Ireland and the UK. When he's not falling off his surfboard at Bondi or dabbling with a day job which pays the bills he sits at his laptop and bashes out fiction. He writes tense and taut contemporary mysteries, alongside laugh-out-loud chapter books for kids. Most recently he has turned his hand to travel writing too. In October 2017, Ged launched HEADLAND, the first book in the 'Bill Murdoch Mystery' series. The sequel, CLASS ACT, launched in January 2018, and the third book in the series, BASE NATURE, was released in March 2018. In July 2018, CLASS ACT was nominated for the Ned Kelly Awards 2018 (Australia's most prestigious crime novel prize). In May 2019, Ged published 'Stans By Me', a memoir of his whirlwind travels through Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan), all told with a generous dollop of his deadpan British wit.
