Vinnie Apicella is a professional consultant, teacher, writer, and entrepreneur. He owns a BA in Literature & Writing from Columbia University, as well as additional degrees in Communications and Business Administration, and is certified in Project & Program Management.
Vinnie is a senior-level copywriter and editor whose experience spans a range of industries. His writing career began with drafting press releases and artist bios for NYC music and film companies, later producing financial articles for Forbes, travel and tourism pieces for a medical publisher, and more recently, marketing and sales copy for a Beijing-based e-commerce firm.
He also specializes in business administration, marketing, and management, and is accomplished in publishing and product development. Originally from New York, he relocated to Beijing in 2011 where he created a successful education consulting business for a local training center to assist Chinese students to study abroad. In addition to operating the business, he produced staff training programs, gave presentations at local industry events, taught his own writing and communications courses, and provided US school tours for students.
Today, he oversees Shanghai EDGE Consulting, an online education services company where he teaches English, Business English, and Writing, and is a consultant to international students. In the future, he hopes to use his book as a platform to develop additional methods for making a positive impact on society and inspiring others to improve their lives and pursue their passions.
