A Google user
It is an English speaker's French-English & English-French dictionary - and so it is quite different from a French speaker's French-English & English-French dictionary, or even a bilingual dictionary.
This is usually the best type of dictionary for an English speaker to use.
But a small problem may hinder the average user of this book.
It uses an old version of the International Phonetic Alphabet to indicate pronunciation. The IPA is not familiar to most casual users with its hundreds of unique symbols. The symbols are also very hard to read in this scan of a pocket-sized book. After this book was published, the IPA underwent a major revision and several minor revisions, as well as changes in typefaces. This makes it difficult to use even for readers familiar with the modern IPA.
