Tammy L. Gray has given the Christian fiction reader world a treasure with her State of Grace series of novels. Love and the Silver Lining is the second novel in the series and just as wonderful a story as the first. Gray’s novels contain characters who are often full of hurt and angst, but who are ultimately healed by the presence of God in their lives and the real love of others who care for them and cheer them on. Darcy has been disappointed and hurt and Bryson has faced many obstacles in his life. What can a bunch of unruly dogs do to being these two together? Gray has woven their story together beautifully. I highly recommend this book as well as other books by Tammy L. Gray. Just looking at the cover is a delight, but once I opened the book, I was so drawn into the story and could not put it down. A complimentary copy was provided by the publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.

For those that believe in God, this is a great story showcasing God’s unwavering Grace. For those that believe in more than one God, it is a great story that shows how love, and the determination of working hard, get you where you need to be in Life. All in all, it was a story that kept me up late some nights reading just one more chapter. I was given a copy of this book via Bethany House Publishers and Netgalley.
