About this ebook

The perfect combination of scholarship and accessible presentation for Christians who desire to know how to better understand and defend their faith.

Bestselling authors Ed Hindson and Ergun Caner have brought together a who's who of apologetic experts—including Lee Strobel, Norm Geisler, Josh McDowell, and John Ankerberg—to produce a resource that's both easy to understand and comprehensive in scope.

Every entry provides a biblical perspective and mentions the key essentials that believers need to know about a wide variety of apologetic concerns, including...

  • issues concerning God, Christ, and the Bible
  • scientific and historical controversies
  • ethical matters (genetic engineering, homosexuality, ecology, feminism)
  • a Christian response to world religions and cults
  • a Christian response to the major worldviews and philosophies of our day

Included with each entry are practical applications for approaching or defending the issue at hand, along with recommendations for additional reading on the subject.

This book is probably the finest reference work with respect to Christian Apologetics. It is stridently Conservative and Evangelical in its' approach. The material is quickly accessible, and also accessible to both those in a lay capacity, as well as those seeking a foundational reference tool for professional ministry. By no means should the book be seen as an exhaustive treatment of each subject contained. It is obviously not the intent of the authors. I especially suggest that if a person has a kindle application of some sort, that the person, buy it in both forms. One key word, and all information on the subject appears in context. As a graduate student in religion, I highly value this work. Whether Reformed, Evidentialist, Experientialist, or cumulative, it will serve as a great basic reference work. Michael Noffsinger M.A.

This book is a collection of articles from top biblical scholars of our time. It is designed to be used as a desktop reference for practical application of apologetics. For each submission, Hindson and Caner give suggestions of how to evangelize, strengths and weaknesses of an argument, and a bibliography. Because of the nature of the book, it would make an excellent desktop reference for anyone interested in discovering truth!
