Ratings and reviews

I like the underlying conceit laid out in the first book. I like the overall story, characters, and writing. What didn't work for me is that much of the action was fairly low stakes, nothing much has changed by the end of the book, and that many point-of-view switches happened just when I was getting invested in a storyline.
