सागरचं बालपण मी पाहिलं आहे. आई-वडिलां सोबत त्‍याने ही कष्‍ट पूर्ण जीवन व्‍यथित केलेलं आहे. शेताची कामं करत, गुरं-ढोरं चारत, शेण-पाणी काढत त्‍याचे बालपण गेले आहे. आज तो एका चांगल्‍या पदावर जरी असला तरी त्‍याच्‍या जाणीवेत कष्‍ट करून जिविका जगणारा शेतकरी, शेतमजुर, कामगार इत्‍यादीच्‍या वेदना स्थिर आहेत. म्हणूनच कदाचित त्‍यानं शोषितांच्‍या न्‍यायाला व संघर्षाला बळ द्यायचे ठरवले आणि स्‍वत:ला सामाजिक चळवळीशी बांधून घेतले आहे.
या काव्‍य संग्रहात देखील प्रेम, प्रणय, विरह यांची गाणी गाता गाता समाजाच्‍या विषम स्थितीवर त्‍याचे शब्‍द आंदोलित होतांना दिसत आहेत. हा कवी आणि त्‍याचे काव्‍य माझ्या मातीतुन विकसित होत आहे याचा मला अभिमान आहे. त्‍याच्‍या साहित्‍य प्रवासाला अनेकानेक शुभेच्‍छा !
