About this ebook

'Half Past Monday' is a Readers Favorite 5-star criminal thriller that invokes thoughts of Dean Koontz or Stephen King, and illustrates an alternative timeline after its protaganist reverses time to undo a horrific crime.

Dr. Dominic Rivera thought he had it all - money, career, and a family with his med-school sweetheart,  Clarissa. When his daughter is found dead and his catatonic wife is charged with her murder, Dominic realizes his perfect life was merely an illusion. Each day became a struggle, until his wife's attorney inadvertently hands him a painful does of reality. While preparing for an insanity defense, Clarisa's attorney inadvertently introduces him to a dark family secret kept hidden from him. Dominic spirals into a deep depression, but stumbles into a ticket out of misery while moping around home contemplating his life options. Gifted the opportunity to fix one thing from his past, Dominic immediately knows what to do and sets out to get his daughter back. When the impossible happens and his family gets restored, Dominic thinks he's the luckiest man on earth - that is, until his daughter is kidnapped and he becomes the prime suspect in her disappearance. Caught off guard by the additional - and unintended - consequences of his actions, Dominic is in a race against time to prevent history from repeating itself.

The author REALLY knows her stuff! As a prosecutor, I often find that I am distracted and disappointed by the inaccurate details in many crime thriller books. But this book is different! It's obvious that Ms. Erpenbeck did extensive research before writing Half Past Monday. This book gave me goose bumps, and I could not put it down. I even surprised myself (and my husband) by yelling out while reading it. This book is a "must read" for anyone who likes dark, crime thriller stories!
