Stimulating and provocative, without being sleazy. The revolutionary method applied by the candid, inquisitive minds of Jung and Freud literally reformed our understanding of psychological behaviour. Some may argue that they merely challenged previously accepted notions in their field, but being a daring amateur physician myself, I'm quite familiar with the resistance and skepticism these men faced. Even moreso, the nature of corruption, ambivalence, sexuality, and religion. While the movie could certainly have been longer, perhaps continuing each character's life story, instead of merely showing an end card, it was nonetheless inspiring. All three of the main cast played their roles admirably, engaging the audience without pandering to them. Sets and costumes are nicely presented, but never distract from the borderline biographic tone, and the music follows suit, highlighting dramatic moments without ever approaching obnoxious.

Its one of these films where you have to be by yourself & give it all your attention. The story line is great & also the psychology behind it. Id recommend this to anyone who has a passion for 1900's films.

This account of the relationship between Jung and Freud is quite superb. Brilliantly acted, and full of nice stimulating ideas. It heels if you're into psychoanalysis though ;-)
