A brilliant cast brings to life this coming-of-age drama about a young man (Shia LaBeouf) growing up in Astoria, Queens in the 1980s. As his friends end up dead, addicted or in prison, he comes to believe he has been saved from their fates by various so-called saints.

Yeah Im Bias As F but the casting of this movies is juts ....Damn right perfect.... aim a Domican dude from Bushwick Brooklyn NYC the scenes took me right back to those crazy hot summers of the late 80s n 90s ...Astoria was a placed visited by outsiders only during the summe "The Only Olimpic pool in the city is there". The Greeks pushed out the Italians but not the Spaniars and then came the Brazilians and Colombians and now the damn hispters .

I have watched this movie a dozen times. I get more out of it Everytime I watch it. Also the soundtrack is amazing.
