The movie was pretty good. I've seen a few mistakes in the acting and directing the actors to acts in the scenes. When you have a flame thrower gun, use it without hesitation. Use the micro detector to detect the alien. Go in teams never go solo trying to find or kill the alien by communicating with the members. I guess this is a first budget film of the alien with some mistakes acting or being directed. The background music sound track was so alien in its motion picture. The sequels ​Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection was awesome in their own unique background and it's characters who plays in it.

Has never really looked like a "70's" movie. Especially with this HD remaster, the film could pass as a movie now adays. The lack of CGI means that the alien will never look dated which just helps to keep this movie all the more timeless. There's just something frightening about a giant black skeleton with an elongated head and no eyes.
