***SPOILERS*** It's a good movie, with a few stupids in it. The whole story about the kangaroo, you can't prove your point by telling a lie you moron. I can make all kind of points and prove them all if I lie about the facts. Then they kind of fudged on the time thing, kind of, because she didn't know what his dying wife said before he told her what she said. But that's not really a stupid, it's just something that theorists don't agree on, that if something happened to get you to a place, and that event only occurred because time dictated that you did something in the future, or received knowledge in the future, that can then be used to change the past. I personally believe it can work that way, but Marvel Studios does not. However, the fact that she didn't grasp that these aliens knew everything about humans, which was evident by how they kicked them out the ship because of oxygen levels, that she even bothered trying to label herself as human, which was a waste of time. Then putting a linguist in charge of the entire alien research team? Also, in this day and age, you think the government needs outside help in understanding any language in the Middle East is ridiculous. And then of course, she should never have told him if she didn't think he needed to know before he knocked her up. But in all it's a pretty nice movie. There isn't much science in this that can be debunked as some claim that it doesn't make sense. They gave no absolutes in the first place. And the sad feeling comes from a question that many people ask themselves all the time, that if they knew how things would turn out in their lives, would they change anything that they did? For one, having children myself, and not having a very fond look on how my life was lived, if it meant my kids wouldn't exist, then . . . . . Well I'm sure ya'll got your own answers to that one.

Like "Passengers" this is yet another story that would make a wonderful 30-45 minute ep of Black Mirror/Electric Dreams/Twilight Zone, but is instead bloated into a 2 hour movie that drags the whole time. There is just not enough actual story to justify a 2-hr runtime. It's like they paid so much for the actors and effects, they wanted to make sure they got their money's worth.

Awesome movie. I like the main characters. The storyline gives you many things to ponder within your own beliefs and thoughts on the subject of aliens, time travel, and life experiences.
