I greatly enjoyed this film. It's not 100% realistic but it's not supposed to be. I especially enjoy that it feels like a comic book, especially in the last half and increasing up to the climax. The element I enjoy the most would have to be how music is the frame that the actions hang on. In some scenes, gunshots fire in unison with the rhythm of the song, while in others an abrupt change occurs both in the music and in the screen. This happens throughout the film and it's an element I hope to see used again. The driving and other action are all interesting, but it's difficult for any of it to stand out with so many action movies doing robberies, car chases, gun violence... I did find two of these scenes unusual: the one when they're being chased by another car and the climactic scene with Buddy. As an Atlantan, having it set in Atlanta was highly enjoyable. I used to live just a few blocks from their "office" and Baby and Joseph's apartment and it was a real thrill to recognize almost every place in the movie and to not have them pretend it was somewhere else like most movies filmed in Georgia. Fun fact: the bank they rob in the opening (not a bank IRL) is walking distance from their office, as is nearly all of the foot chase scene. I also highly appreciated having a Deaf actor play a Deaf character. C. J. Jones was excellent, as always, and provided accurate and appropriate ASL and signing skills to the film. It was also nice to have a deaf character in a film that was so much about music, since so many people think that deaf people are entirely separate from music, which is simply not true (just go to a deaf party or listen to deaf musicians, like Beethoven's Nightmare, Mandy Harvey (on America's Got Talent), or Evelyn Glennie).

Enjoyable movie, but not an amazing movie. It doesn't leave you feeling like "Wow that was an amazing movie" when the credits roll like the rating would suggest. There are some good actions scenes and I like how they tried to synchronize the chase scenes with music, although it isn't really super impressive. It's not enough to make it an amazing movie, just an interesting YouTube video. And its plot isn't boring, but not ultra good. There are unrealistic things like how a character could miss another character escaping from a car, car keys appearing out of thin air, gunshots missing targets but if you ignore them the movie is written alright. There's a good conflict that keeps you engaged. I think at some points the movie goes on a tangent when some side character has an unnecessarily long argument with another character and it never contributes to the plot in any way. It's just a time filler and when you see it you'll know what I'm talking about. In the end this filler never contributed at all and could just be erased and the movie would still be the same. The movie gets kinda boring in these spots. Some characters are unrealistic in their exaggerated characteristics. It makes it feel like a movie, not like you're in the action, a witness to an event happening in real life. (It's like those characters in Neil breen's movies, where they're either super evil, pushing disabled people over, or overly nice). Some events are too convenient and just serve to create a conflict in an easy way, and unlike an unrealistic thing such as a character who can dodge bullets magically this is a problem that is really noticeable, breaks the immersion, making the movie seem written not that well. Sample example: "Two cops battling criminals. One cop steps in the line of fire like a complete dummy and gets killed. Now the other cop, a close friend must avenge his friend." It is just too lazy. The movie seems like it only required an hour of runtime at max, and the story wasn't good enough to justify a 99% score. 7/10 from me. I'm not sure if you should bother seeing it. If you try to ignore all of the immersion breaking flaws of the plot the story itself is interesting, but it feels like the script needed a few more peer reviews before it could become an amazing movie. It just feels like somebody wrote the basic outline of the story on a PowerPoint presentation ("Cop's buddy is killed" "cop pursues criminals" "epic battle between cop and mob boss"), and then they had to fill in the rest very quickly instead of writing the story in chronological order. You can tell there was a good idea, but it was not filled in too well.

Stupid movie about a deaf kid that drives fast and has seizures while he walks and falls in love with a homely waitress. The cast didnt really help the movie. Their characters were trash. I dont think that is their fault other than agreeing to shoot, but in guess they gotta fuel the habit...
