Set in the 70's in a remote corner of the country Barfi is the story of three young people who learn that love can neither be defined nor contained by society's norms of normal and abnormal. Barfi, a hearting and speech impaired boyfalls in love with Shruti. in spite of her deep affection for Barfi, Shruti gives into societal and parental pressure to marry a 'normal man' and lead a 'normal life'. Many years later their paths cross once again when Barfi on the run from the police is in search of Jhilmil. Shruti's realization that Jhilmil is mentally-challenged makes her realize that true love is blind. Caught in a cat and mouse game, in search for the girl Barfi loves, Shruti realizes that she herself is still in love with him. She must now choose between her happiness and his. Will the search for Jhilmil lead Shruti and Barfi to reclaim their love and has SHruti lost her once chance at true happiness forever? Barfi is the story of love finding a new language.

I am surprised I have actually not liked it. the main reason is there is no story at all. All this movie depends is on the threatics by barfi, good music and nice locations. priyanka chopra is in her worst performance. one has to be very alert also becoz it's all visuals and if you miss something,you won't understand next scene because they don't speak, only act like in a silent movie. can induce sleep and boredom. but it is still something very different from regular bollywood movies. hence 3***

When I first watched Barfi! I fell asleep. I felt guilty because the movie looked like an work of art. Then all the plagiarism accusations started flooding in and I realized my instinct was correct. The movie is a collage. Borrowing from others is not bad, provided you can carry it. Wear jewels to decorate yourself, don't be a manikin. Excellent music and acting, awesome execution, but has no life.

I fell in love with Ileana D''Cruz after watching this movie. Each and every actor in thia movie had a pivot role that the accomplished perfectly. What to say about Ranbir aka Barfi and Priyanka aka Jhilmil. Hats off to them. Like the way Ileana was portraited to the series of changes in her life in this movie was remarkable and appreciable. And Inspector Shukla is another one charector that is loved by the audience as well as the critics. Hats off to the team . #BLOCKBUSTER #Barfi!
