If you're looking forward to the eventual "fight" between Damian and Batman, just look it up on Youtube because pretty much it occurs halfway through the movie for literally a short amount of time. The real star of the movie is the Court of Owls, which the movie takes from the comic storyline. The movie takes a few core points from the source material but thats about it. In all honesty the comic is way better. The movie is ok for a rental. If Id bought the whole movie I'd be even more disappointed than I already am.

The beginning was promising, but then the story and script just became lazy. The comic was a good story but to my opinion they down played the art of the original plot. Not to say movie adaptation have to be word for word (because it is hard to make a novel or comic story into a movie as it was written), but I felt they didn't even try. And the voice acting and went down south all of the sudden. Not sure when, but it was decent, but then half way through the scripted lines became cheeszy and writing lazy. DC Animated movies and TV are usually better than this.

I am of the opinion that of all super heroes, batman has the best storylines. This however is not one of them. I was seriously disappointed by the time the end credits were rolling. I had read reviews and for the most part they were good but the story was weak and even by super hero standards unbelievable. Worse (spoiler alert) batman gets beaten in combat by everyone including his 10 year old son. If Alfred had picked a fight with him in this movie, Alfred would have won. Subpar batman movie.
